Our donations for 2020 & 2021
As some of you know, I was born and brought up in Kenya. As with many countries, Kenya has been significantly impacted by the pandemic, and I wanted to find a way to help.
Working with a group of people, we’ve “adopted” the Wamba Girls Rescue Center, in Northern Kenya. This organization provides a refuge for girls at risk of sexual and gender-based violence, which threatens countless girls throughout Kenya and East Africa. It is a small center with just a few staff members, but many passionate volunteers. Founded in 2011, they have rescued over 120 girls, giving them safe homes, nutritious food, education, career training, and counseling.
