Working closely with the teams at Ocean Outcomes and World Wildlife Fund, we engaged with industry, investors and FIP implementers to design and develop a sustainable fisheries financing vehicle. The purpose of this vehicle is to cost effectively scale financing for fisheries improvements as defined by the Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions (https://solutionsforseafood.org).

Over 266 fisheries were evaluated with input from industry and NGO partners, resulting in the identification of a pilot pipeline of potentially “investable” fishery improvements with the intent of securing Marine Stewardship Certification (MSC).

In addition to extensive pipeline development, we developed financial business models, structured transactions, engaged with legal counsel in the development of agreements, developed investment memoranda and secured funding for both a design and pilot phase.
